2. Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern access to and use of the InterConnections corporate website, in its Portuguese and English versions (the “website”), including all its pages, content and the contact form.

By accessing or using the website, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the website.

The privacy policy and the cookie policy complement these terms: they explain how we process personal data and what we store in your browser.

3. A corporate website: no gaming or betting

The website is for information only: it presents InterConnections, its business, its brands and its commitments.

No gaming or betting takes place on this website, no player accounts are opened, no payments are accepted and no prizes are awarded. Nothing published here is an offer of gaming, an invitation to play or a promise of winnings.

InterConnections’ brands, such as BetJá (coming soon), operate on their own websites and apps, under their own terms and conditions, game rules and privacy policies, and under the applicable licences. Those terms govern the relationship with players and, in that relationship, prevail over these terms.

4. Over-18s only and responsible gaming

Gaming in Angola is governed by Law no. 17/24 of 28 October (Gaming Activity Law), and gaming is permitted only for people aged 18 or over.

Information about gaming published on the website is intended for adults. If you are under 18, you may not gamble or use our brands’ gaming services.

5. Permitted use

You may browse the website, print or save pages for personal, non-commercial use, and share links to its pages, provided that you do not alter the content or suggest a relationship with InterConnections that does not exist.

You agree to use the website in good faith and in accordance with the law, these terms and public order.

6. Prohibited use

In particular, you must not:

• use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes, or purposes contrary to these terms, or to harm InterConnections, its brands or third parties;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, the servers, the accounts or the systems that support it, probe for vulnerabilities or circumvent security measures;
• attack the website, including by denial-of-service attacks, viruses or other malicious code, or do anything that overloads, interrupts or impairs its operation;
• extract or copy content systematically or by automated means (for example, with bots or scraping tools) or build databases from the website, other than normal indexing by search engines;
• use the contact form to send unsolicited advertising, bulk messages, unlawful, offensive, threatening or defamatory content, or other people’s data without their permission;
• impersonate InterConnections, its brands, its staff or anyone else, or give false information about your identity;
• decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the website’s code, except to the extent permitted by law;
• display the website or any part of it within another website (by framing or similar techniques), alter its presentation, or create links suggesting an association, sponsorship or endorsement by InterConnections that does not exist;
• use the brands, logos or content of the website for commercial or advertising purposes without written permission.

If you breach these terms, we may block your access to the website or the contact form without notice, delete abusive messages and report the matter to the competent authorities, without prejudice to any civil or criminal liability you may incur.

7. Intellectual and industrial property

The content of the website, including the texts, the InterConnections logo and symbol, the BetJá brand and other distinctive signs, the graphic design, the page layout, the illustrations and the code, belongs to InterConnections or to third parties who have authorised its use.

This content is protected by Angolan copyright and industrial property legislation, in particular Law no. 15/14 of 31 July (Copyright and Related Rights Law) and Law no. 3/92 of 28 February (Industrial Property Law), and by the applicable international conventions.

Photographs of people used on the website come from stock-image libraries (Unsplash and Pexels) and are used under their respective licences. The people shown are models: they do not endorse and are not associated with InterConnections or its brands.

Access to the website does not grant you any licence or right over this content, beyond the use permitted by these terms. Any other reproduction, distribution, communication to the public, adaptation or commercial use, in whole or in part, requires the prior written permission of InterConnections or of the rights holder.

8. Information on the website

We aim to keep the information on the website accurate and up to date, but it is provided for information only, on an “as is” basis, and may contain errors or become out of date. We may change, supplement or remove it at any time without notice.

No content on the website constitutes a contractual offer, an offer of gaming, legal, financial or investment advice, or a guarantee of results. Announced dates and news, such as the launch of a brand, are indicative and may change.

Before making a decision based on information on the website, please confirm it with us.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Angolan law, InterConnections is not liable for:

• interruptions, failures, delays or unavailability of the website, including those caused by maintenance, by failures of communications networks or by third parties;
• viruses or other harmful elements that affect your equipment as a result of accessing the website, despite the security measures we take (it is your responsibility to protect your equipment by appropriate means);
• errors, omissions or out-of-date information, and decisions you make on the basis of it;
• the content, products, services or practices of third-party websites linked from the website;
• use of the website contrary to these terms, by you or by third parties;
• indirect damage, loss of profit, or loss of data or business opportunities arising from the use of, or inability to use, the website.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits InterConnections’ liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or where the law does not permit such exclusion or limitation, nor does it affect the rights that the law grants to consumers, in particular under Law no. 15/03 of 22 July (Consumer Protection Law).

You are liable, under the general rules, for any damage you cause to InterConnections or to third parties by breaching these terms or the law.

10. Links to other websites

The website may contain links to third-party websites, for example to maps. These links are provided for your convenience only: we do not control those websites, we are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy policies, and a link does not mean that we endorse them.

You may create a plain link to any page of the website, provided that the page opens in its own window, never within another website, and that the link does not suggest a sponsorship or association that does not exist. We may ask you to remove a link that does not comply with these rules.

11. Availability and maintenance

We aim to keep the website available, but we do not guarantee that it will operate without interruptions or errors. We may suspend, restrict, change or close the website, or any part of it, for maintenance, for security reasons or by business decision, without notice and without any entitlement to compensation.

12. Force majeure

InterConnections is not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, war, acts of terrorism, civil unrest, decisions of authorities, power cuts, failures of communications networks or hosting providers, and cyber attacks that could not reasonably have been prevented.

13. Communications

The contact form and the general email address are intended for requests for information. Do not use them for urgent matters or for communications with legal effect (for example, service of process, notices of disputes or requests subject to a statutory deadline), unless these terms or the law provide otherwise, as in the exercise of rights over personal data.

Communications with legal effect addressed to InterConnections must be sent in writing to our registered office.

We may reply to you by the email address or telephone number you give us.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in force, and the provision concerned is replaced by the valid provision that comes closest to its purpose.

16. No waiver

If InterConnections does not, at any time, require compliance with a provision of these terms, this does not mean that it waives that right, which it may exercise at any time.

17. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms at any time, in particular to reflect the law or changes to the website. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the version number and the date of the last update at the top of the document, and it applies from the date of publication.

If you continue to use the website after a change, you accept the amended terms.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Angola.

Before going to court, we will seek to resolve any issue amicably: please talk to us first.

Any dispute relating to the website or to these terms shall be settled by the court of the Comarca de Luanda (Luanda judicial district), to the exclusion of any other, without prejudice to applicable mandatory rules, in particular those protecting consumers.

These terms are available in Portuguese and in English. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions, the Portuguese version prevails.
